Heroes 3 Complete No Intro

Guide: How to remove the 3DO Intro in Heroes 3 Complete

This may work in other versions, however this is untested.

NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended that you make a backup of your VIDEO.VID file!!

Extract and run MMArchive.

When MMA Arhive is opened you should see the following:

Click File > Open

Browse to VIDEO.VID (by default this is C:\Program Files\3DO\Heroes 3\Data\VIDEO.VID)

You should see the following:

We want to delete 3DOLOGO.SMK, which is the intro video file.

Right click on 3DOLOGO.SMK and hit Delete.

Very important: after we delete the file, we must Optimize it, click Optimize as shown in the picture:

The file is done and saves automatically.  MMArchive also backs up the deleted files by default in the VIDEO.VID Backup folder.  This can be deleted if your game works safely.

I tried multiple times and each got a VIDEO.VID that was 21,358,976KB (using Heroes 3 Complete).

Congrats! No more game intro!  And now the game loads right to the game menu!
